[TOP] 5 trends I love and will probably never wear

I've been in a relationship with fashion for about 20 years. Along the way I learned that I could love 'her' but sometimes she just couldnt' love me back. What I'm trying to say is that you can love trends but you have to be smart and choose only what suits you and only what compliments your figure. No matter how hard this can be sometimes, we have to be tough! So here are the trends that I kinda love but I'll probably never wear because of various reason: lack of courage and miles long legs and a basic wardrobe that can't match a certain item. The Maxi skirt . No matter how much I love it, being petite I just have to say NO to this and move one. The classic platonic love. The cropped top . I just don't feel like doing hundreds of abs per day. The creepers . I found myself trying on every pair of creepers I found, during the sales. They looked great but I have no idea how to dress the rest of my body. They seem completely different than e...

[Random] Girls season 2

When you love something so much as I love Girls (correction, Girls season 1) you can't help but feeling extremely disappointed when you watch Girls Season 2. Something fell apart between series and I'm still giving it chances, but our love story is kinda over. Is it just me or nothing ever happens in the new serie? Where is Shoshana and Marnie and Jessa, where are the funny jokes and the full of life moments? All I am seeing is way too much nudity from Hannah, confusing scenes and I find myself waiting desperately to be over and get back to more interesting stuff. Anyway, I found an article which pretty much sums up what I have to say about the New Season of Girls but feel too lazy and unsecure with my english to actually say it. So here goes: p.s It is written by Wendy Widom and I got it from here . I am in love with the show Girls , which premiered its second season Sunday night on HBO. I love it so much I have forgotten the name of that other series about sex in so...

[New Finds] Film Map

Once upon a time I found a cool print made by a very creative person, it was something like a metro map with stations that had movies names. So it was basically a map with must see movies. It was just so cool that I had to print it and hang it on a wall. Today I found something similar- 'The Map, which is loosely based on the style of a vintage Los Angeles street map has its own Hollywood Boulevard and includes districts dedicated to Hitchcock and Cult British Horror movies. Like most cities it also has its own Red Light area. There's an A-Z key at the base of the Map listing all the films featured with their release dates and names of the directors.' I discovered it on the DOROTHY site, next to other great stuff like a Periodic Table of Social Issues and a God and Satan desk sign and other clever stuff.

[Random] Valentine's Day

It wasn't clear to me why all of the sudden the Internet was full of little hearts, red, flowers, candy etc. Oh okay, Valentine's Day is today. I never actually cared about this day, never quite understood it so today is a perfectly normal day for me. In a sea of romantic cards and fancy quotes, I found these Valentine's Day cards that caught my attention and I completely loved them. The funny thing about them is that there is the straight version and then the lesbian and gay version. How clever is that?? You can find them in the ALFAMARAMA Etsy Shop. Click here .

[TOP] 5 Things I should own in a perfect life

Okay, make it 6 and add on the top of the list unlimited inteligence and knowledge. But for now, let's just have fun with some material things. So here goes: 5. The ability to do this. Or to just bend over without hurting myself. 4. A vintage Hermes Kelly Bag. In perfect condition, with some vintage goodies in it too hahaha. 3. A castle. On a beach, please! Or somewhere near the sea/ ocean. I don't think I ask too much since I didn't mention a certain number of rooms, okay? 2. A Barcelone Chair. Signed by Mies van der Rohe.  1. A painting by Georgia O'Keefee. I had trouble deciding between her and Frida but I think this would suit better my castle. Am I right?

[Inspiration] Pink Hair

The truth is...I always wanted to be blonde. Just to see if blondes  have more fun and....because it would make it much easier to dye my hair pink! I had a lot of bravery in the past when it comes to hair but this is just a line I can't cross. I could easily dye my blonde ends in a shade of pastel pink but I don't like half measures things. No Sir! I just want all my hair pastel pink. It all started with Gwen Stefani, when she made an appereance with that pink hair,I thought that was the coolest thing ever!

[Editorial] Elle &Marie Claire

My opinion about glossy magazines is low. The lowest of the low. I haven't read one for almost 2 years and the last time I did, I was pretty disappointed. But, from time to time I do enjoy a good editorial, online of course. Like these ones. Elle UK featured Kylie Minogue in the January edition and Marie Claire UK featured Gwen Stefani in the same month. Two women I absolutely admire and love to take inspiration from.

[Collection] Simone Rocha SS2013

I've never heard of Simone Rocha but a picture on Tumblr with a transparent bag got my attention and that's when I found out that behind this cool name lies an entire collection of very cool clothes and accesories. One of the most important things I learned in school is that the most difficult thing to do is creating something simple and beautiful at the same time. Simone Rocha really pulls it off in this collection, using simple lines, black and white, pop of colors and leather items and of course transparencies here and there.
